My name is Ash. I’m a certified personal trainer and the creator of FitMom. As a mom of 3, I have made it a priority to balance family life with keeping fit. It’s my way of keeping sane. What started out as a hobby to share my love of exercise with other women over 5 years ago, has grown in leaps and burpees. I have trained hundreds of women as they have powered their way through their unique fitness journeys.
This is not a “quick fix.” I am all about balance, hard-work, and consistency. I don’t believe in diets. I believe in healthy living and if you stick to my programme, you will see results in as little as 2 weeks.
See that glass of wine? Have it. The almond croissant – it’s yours. Just be sure that your approach is balanced, and we are on our way!

I haven’t always been a personal trainer. But for as long as I can remember, I have always been drawn to health and fitness. I have a deep love for road running and have run many marathons, ultra marathons & The Comrades Marathon. When I’m not training myself, I am sharing my passion & expertise by training other women.
I am a qualified SWEAT1000 and Barre Body Instructor, as well as the “fitness expert” for Wellness in the City which is a health and wellness blog based in Cape Town.
When I fell pregnant with my first child I started researching how to train “safely” throughout my pregnancy. I found the information to be overwhelming and often contradictory. This inspired me to study personal training and to specialise in pre and postnatal fitness.
I understand that life is busy and that we all have phases where we don’t make time for ourselves. But I believe that health and fitness should always be a priority.
Our bodies were designed to move, and it is my mission for every women in the world to experience the power of feeling physically fit and healthy.
I started dancing at the age of 3, so exercise, discipline and routine have been instilled in me from a very young age. I was a senior soloist with Cape Town City Ballet until I fell pregnant with my first son, when I then retired to concentrate on having a family.
After having my second son, I met Ash, and I just knew she was the answer to my road back to being fit, healthy and happy with my body.
Ash not only inspires me still, to be the best that I can be, but she has also become a very good friend, and I can’t thank the universe enough for our paths meeting.
I really do love exercising, pushing myself to new limits and setting goals for myself and achieving them. I have done Pilates my entire career so I have a great understanding of the body and a keen passion for body conditioning.
I know that by making life changes, even small ones, your goals can be achieved.
I hope to inspire and motivate new clients by reminding them that I was also once there, and that with a good mind, a little patience and some hard work it can be done.
Your monthly PDF (containing all workouts for the month) will be sent on the 1st of every month, via Whatsapp.
Your video workouts are sent in weekly cycles every Sunday night, via Whatsapp.
Your monthly payment will be debited on the 1st day of the month.
If you sign up before the last week of the month, you will pay a full month subscription fee and receive all content shared from the 1st of the month.
You will also receive the link to join the WhatsApp group, to start receiving weekly workout videos from the next Sunday. Your card will then be debited from the 1st day of each month going forward.
If you sign up in the last week of the month, you will immediately receive the link for the WhatsApp group. Your subscription will only officially ” start” from the 1st of the following month but you will gain early access to the group and content. You card will be debited from the 1st of each month going forward.
You can cancel your subscription at any time online. Ensure you do so before the 1st of the month so that you don’t get caught short. No reimbursements will be given for failure to cancel on time.
You are welcome to upgrade/change your subscription for a new month (if you want to increase number of sessions per week or move between subscription offerings). Just email me and I will update it for you. It will only be effective from the 1st of the next month.
I am a firm believer in the 80/20 rule. You won’t see the desired results without ensuring that you are eating a well-balanced diet. My home workouts are accompanied by The FIT Healthy Meal Plan which is an optional extra service you can choose to add.
The Meal Plan gets sent every Friday, via WhatsApp (shopping list included), so that you can prep over the weekend for the following week. Delicious, nutritious, simple meals which are FIT for the entire family!
To help you get started with your home training, I have put together a box of basic gym equipment. When you sign up, you can choose which equipment you would like to have delivered to your home.
On the 1st of every month, I will send you all of your workouts for the month in a PDF document (via the WhatsApp Group). This is so that you can go ahead if you so wish.
Every Sunday, I will send you your workouts for the week (in video format) via WhatsApp. All communication is done via Whatsapp. It’s like having a personal trainer in your pocket!
